Learning at Home

Updated: 06/15/2017

Learning doesn't end when the school day (or year!) does. Here are a few ways you can keep your child engaged each and every day.

Encourage your child to read each day at home as I encourage the students to read each day in school. Everyday the students will engage in Sustained Silent Reading after lunch. Send your child to school with a book or s/he can choose one from our classroom library.
A reading log will be sent home each month. Use the log to track the minutes your child spends reading each day. At the end of the month send the log back to school. The top five readers (most minutes) will receive a dress down pass. A new log will be sent home for the new month.
